Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing Statement

At Atholl Accountancy, we are committed to conducting our business ethically, responsibly and with integrity in all our relationships. Although we operate as a professional accountancy practice with a relatively simple supply chain, we recognise our responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child exploitation in any part of our business or supply chain.

Our Commitment

  1. We have a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking.

  2. We expect the same high standards from all those with whom we work, including suppliers, contractors and other professional partners.

  3. We take reasonable steps, proportionate to the size and nature of our business, to assess and manage the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain.

How We Act to Prevent Modern Slavery

We seek to uphold our responsibilities by:

  1. Working, wherever possible, with reputable and UK-based suppliers and service providers who can demonstrate compliance with applicable employment and human rights legislation.

  2. Including, where appropriate, contractual provisions or supplier expectations which require compliance with anti-slavery and human trafficking legislation.

  3. Remaining alert to potential indicators of exploitation and ensuring that any concerns raised are taken seriously and acted upon.

  4. Reviewing this statement periodically so that it reflects current legal requirements and good practice.

Ethical Sourcing

Atholl Accountancy aims to procure goods and services in a way that is:

  1. Fair and responsible: We expect our suppliers to provide safe working conditions, treat workers with dignity and respect, and comply with all relevant employment, health and safety and human rights laws.

  2. Transparent: We encourage openness and, where appropriate, may seek assurances from suppliers regarding their own policies on modern slavery and ethical conduct.

  3. Sustainable where reasonably practicable: We recognise the importance of social and environmental considerations in our purchasing decisions and seek to support suppliers who share these values.
